Satin Slipper Horseform – Trainer Peter Snowden advised the filly has been spelled and will not contest the remainder of the autumn carnival.

Floki Horseform – Trainer Ben Smith has advised the gelding sustained an injury to the near-fore leg and has been spelled. Accordingly, will not contest the Provincial Championships.


Miss Fabulass Horseform – Trainer Kris Lees has advised will be spelled and not race during the remainder of the autumn.

MOONEE VALLEY March 2

RACE 1: Roobeena - the McEvoy stable advised that the filly pulled up satisfactorily but will now be spelled.

RACE 6: Khezerabad - trainer Aaron Purcell advised that the gelding pulled up satisfactorily and will continue on with its preparation.

FLEMINGTON March 3

RACE 3: Give Us a Go - trainer Craig Anderson advised that the mare jarred up slightly but overall pulled up satisfactorily, will be given an easy week before continuing with its preparation.

RACE 5: Vungers - trainer Brendan Hearps advised that the gelding pulled up satisfactorily but will now be spelled.

City of Kirkwall - trainer Matthew Dale advised that the gelding may not have appreciated the firm track and pulled up satisfactorily. The gelding will be given a freshen up before continuing with its preparation.

RACE 7: Levendi - the Gelagotis stable advised that the colt pulled up satisfactorily and will continue on.

WANGARATTA March 3

RACE 5: Magnaro - trainer Dan McCarthy advised that the gelding pulled up satisfactorily but will now be spelled.

WANGARATTA March 4

RACE 2: Shadow Looms - the Johnstone stable advised that the gelding pulled up satisfactorily and will continue on, back in distance.

RACE 7: Brugal Reward - the Weir stable advised that the mare pulled up satisfactorily.

Widgee Turf - the stable of Patrick Payne advised that the gelding pulled up satisfactorily and will continue on.

BALLARAT March 8

RACE 5: Along Came Jones - trainer Symon Wilde stated that the gelding had pulled up well with no issues detected after being eased from the event and added it was now the intention to continue on with its current preparation.

RACE 6: Falling Waters - Stewards spoke to trainer Mike Moroney regarding the performance of the filly. Moroney stated that the filly was looked at by his vet the next morning and no abnormalities were detected. He stated that its issues pre-race may have resulted in the poor performance. When questioned he added that there had been no issues with the filly and it was now the intention to give it a brief spell.

NEWCASTLE – March 9

RACE 6: Artlee – trainer Kris Lees advised that a subsequent endoscopic examination of the gelding, which performed disappointingly, had found it to be a roarer. Lees indicated Artlee will now undergo corrective surgery.
